2012 will be about American Pride...
I'm not a trend forecaster at all, but I've been seeing a lot of blues and reds lately. I can't help but relate that to the current events going on in our country. We have elections coming up, our troops are coming back home, our economy is still a working progress, but it's progressing. So.. with all those events, I feel that we are getting back to our roots, our American roots. In a speech President Obama gave a few weeks back, he made a point of telling us we need to support those manufacturers that create jobs here and not overseas. I think that is very true, many of our items are made in China, Italy, India, etc. With all this unemployment, we have to bring manufacturing back home.
A few examples in fashion that reflect our American pride... on the runway, in stores, and American manufacturers
I believe that with these designs, colors, themes and forms of artistic mediums, the designers and companies are making certain statements of political views and showing a sense of pride.
